Mastering Flow, Layering, and Transparency

This course introduces the fundamentals of watercolor painting. Students will learn how to work with watercolor’s properties of transparency, flow, and layering, while learning techniques for controlling water, mixing colors, creating washes, and understanding how pigment behaves on paper. Students will paint simple objects, botanicals, and landscapes, developing observation skills and technical ability.
